Buena Park, CA (September 13, 2016)—Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio Division has promoted Marc Lopez to director of marketing for Commercial Audio (CA), and brought on Sorrell Hanson as marketing communications manager for the Pro Audio Division.
Responsible for all marketing aspects of CA products, Lopez joined Yamaha in 1997 as an applications specialist for digital mixers and later as software product manager. Prior to his promotion to director of marketing, he held the position of marketing manager for Yamaha Commercial Audio for 10 years.
“Marc’s deep knowledge of the commercial audio business, combined with excellent marketing instincts, makes him a truly valuable member of the management team,” said Alan Macpherson, general manager, Yamaha Professional Audio.
Meanwhile, Sorrell Hanson, the new marketing communications manager, has 14 years of marketing experience that includes email and web marketing, social and digital campaigns, website management, marketing promotions and project management.
