Vancouver, WA (July 29, 2016)—64 Audio has introduced its new apex-m20 module, based around the company’s new apex in-ear monitor technology, and tia, a tubeless in-ear audio system.
Apex—short for Air Pressure Exchange—features a pneumatically interactive vent that relieves air pressure caused by miniature speakers placed in a sealed ear canal. According to the company, using the technology results in reduced pressure while improving sound quality and broadening both stereo image and instrument separation.
First to use the apex technology is the apex-m20 module, which fits the proprietary apex socket. The m20 is available as a standard option for all Custom A-Series and Universal Fit U-Series models and is backwards compatible with previously sold A-Series and U-Series earphones.
64 Audio also unveiled its new tia system, based around a tubeless in-ear monitor design. It features a direct radiating, front-vented driver system with frequency shaping acoustic chambers which reported add depth and frequency response. It also has a built-in passive radiator said to enhance bass and reduce the occlusion effect. A product with the tia system will be announced in the 4th quarter of 2016.
