New York, NY (September 28, 2011)—Adam Audio will debut its new A77X monitor for the U.S. market at AES next month.
The A77X features the company’s X-ART tweeter, new woofers and amplifiers, and reportedly completely re-designed speaker cabinets. These are the same technologies as found in the A7X, but Adam states that the A77X produces “much higher, compression-free maximum sound pressure levels and dynamics,” with the intention of use for near- and midfield monitoring.
The proprietary X-ART tweeter provide frequency response that reportedly extends all the way up to 50kHz. The A77X’s two 7” woofers feature 1.5” large voice coils and 100W PWM amplifiers. The woofers cover different frequency bands––one handles the (sub-) bass frequencies to approximately 400Hz, while the other reproduces most of the midrange.
The AX-Series already includes the A3X, A5X, A7X and A8X systems. All models feature the new X-ART tweeter in addition to woofers and amplifiers that have been reengineered with larger voice-coils and more powerful amplifiers, aiming to provide greater linear excursion and more output. A 5-year warranty is provided for all models.
Adam Audio USA will be at Booth #367 at the Javits Convention Center during the AES Convention.
