Northbrook, IL (April 21, 2015)—AmpliVox Sound Systems has debuted its Sound Cruiser PA systems—horn PA systems that mount to the roofs of cars, trucks, golf carts and other vehicles via non-marring suction cups and straps.
Reportedly able to reach up to a half-mile and outdoor audiences of up to 3,000 people, AmpliVox’s Sound Cruisers use roof-mounted speakers linked to a 50-watt amplifier, which can be powered by the car’s lighter socket, D-cell batteries or an optional NiCad rechargeable battery pack. An integrated siren function is provided for crowd control and safety in emergencies.
The AmpliVox Sound Cruiser is available in four versions: Sound Cruiser S312 – A twin horn speaker system that includes a dynamic handheld mic attached to the 50 watt amp by a five-foot-long cord; Wireless Sound Cruiser SW312 – The same twin horn speakers linked to a 50 watt amplifier with a built-in 16 channel UHF wireless receiver. The SW312 includes a wireless lapel and headset mic with transmitter; Quad Sound Cruiser S314 – A quad horn speaker system that projects in all directions for better coverage, with a 50 watt amp and corded dynamic handheld mic; and Wireless Quad Sound Cruiser SW 314 – The quad horn speaker system and 50 watt amp equipped with built-in 16 channel UHF wireless receiver, lapel and headset mic, and transmitter.
