Santa Monica, CA (July 31, 2017)—Apogee Electronics has unveiled new control software, providing new features for its Ensemble Thunderbolt audio interface.
The software is intended to provide a customizable user interface offering multi-unit support and compatibility with the Apogee Control iOS App as well as the Apogee Control hardware remote. The software, which replaces Maestro 2 and features a customizable GUI, lets users control Ensemble Thunderbolt with an iOS remote app and the Apogee Control hardware remote.
The latest Ensemble Thunderbolt software installer also includes a Firmware update that provides compatibility with Logic Pro X's new Direct Monitoring feature for eliminating recording latency. New features also include the ability to connect two Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt interfaces to a Mac, essentially doubling the number of analog inputs and outputs available to users.
Ensemble Thunderbolt itself offers AD/DA conversion, 8 Advanced Stepped Gain mic preamps, monitor controller functionality including talkback, front panel Guitar I/O, two headphone outputs and digital connectivity for a total of 28 x 34 I/O.
The new Ensemble Thunderbolt software update is available today from Apogee’s website as a free download for all Ensemble Thunderbolt users on macOS 10.10 or greater.
