Abbey Road, Waves Team for TG Mastering Chain Plug-In

Plug-in emulates mastering console used on DSOTM, In Utero, OK Computer and others.

New York, NY (October 23, 2018)—Waves Audio has teamed with Abbey Road Studios to create the newly released Waves Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain plug-in.

The modular mastering chain plug-in is modeled after the EMI TG12410 transfer console used in all Abbey Road’s mastering suites since the early ’70s. As a result, it consists of multiple modules that can be employed or left out as needed–the TG12411 Input Module; TG12412 Tone Module (EQ); TG12413 Compressor/Limiter Module; TG12414 Filter Module; and TG12416 V.A.L (Spread) Module (stereo component only) incorporated into the Output Module.

Except for input/output modules, the modules can be interchanged, switched on or off, and all modules can be used on different tracks and group buses in a mixing session, as well as on the master bus in mastering sessions

The TG12413 Compressor/Limiter Module is coupled with 48 dB/Oct linear-phase sidechain filters, and offers “Original” and “Modern” settings, respectively capturing a 1970s vibe and a cleaner, more perceptually loud feel.

Also included is a Meter Bridge component as a separate plug-in; opened on on any channel, it runs sown all Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain instances in the session. The Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain plug-in is included in the Waves Abbey Road Collection bundle.
