At InfoComm: L-Acoustics Debuts A Series’ Installation Loudspeakers

L-Acoustics’ new A Series expands with installation versions for new line.

Orlando, FL (June 17, 2019)—Following the launch of its new A Series scalable, medium throw line source earlier this year at Prolight+Sound, L-Acoustics announced the upcoming debut of install-specific versions of the A Series at this year’s InfoComm show in Orlando, FL.

The new install range imbues the A series with install-specific aspects, including enclosures and rigging accessories conceived especially for the installation market.

A Series offers adjustable coverage options, with the A15i Focus reportedly achieving a throw of up to 45 meters, and a maximum output of 144 dB. A15i and A10i feature Panflex, allowing the speakers to adapt to various audience geometries.

A custom range of install accessories provide the necessary tools for installation. A special yoke bracket allows for flying of up to two enclosures and features adjustable depth for increased mounting options. To further facilitate integration, A Series enclosures incorporate standard inserts for additional rigging accessories and include terminal connectors with an additional connector sealing plate to protect from dust and water, achieving an IP55 rating.

“The install-specific rigging options of A series will grant unprecedented flexibility,” said L-Acoustics product manager Germain Simon. “The accessories, combined with Panflex for adjustable waveguide directivity, give integrators everything needed to design laser-precise sound coverage under any conditions.”

An acoustically transparent fabric cover available in RAL colors provides a flat profile in situations where discretion is required. The cover is also compatible with projection-mapping, allowing A Series to become part of production décor.
