At NAB: Zaxcom Adds RX-12R Receiver

Zaxcom has introduced the RX-12R wideband receiver to its Digital Recording Wireless Series. Evolved from the RX-12, the new RX-12R is a complete redesign; it is rack-mountable, requiring one-and-a-half rack spaces in height. As a wide-band receiver, full tuning range is 512 - 698 MHz with a 35 MHz tracking front-end filter designed to eliminate interference from unwanted RF.

Las Vegas, NV (April 24, 2017)—Zaxcom has introduced the RX-12R wideband receiver to its Digital Recording Wireless Series.

The RX-12R provides RF amplification and both antenna and power distribution for up to six Zaxcom QRX212 modules fitting inside the RX-12R chassis. For more critical applications, placing the QRX212 module in single channel mode will deliver six channels of true diversity audio while dual channel mode allows for up to a dozen channels of audio when demand is less critical, offers Zaxcom. All QRX212 modules are hot-swappable.

The RX-12R receives an all-digital signal, fully encrypted, and is compatible with all Zaxcom modulations and transmitters. Other features include a full-color LCD navigation menu screen; built-in frequency scanner with Auto-Pick software; six XLR analog outputs and two DB25 connectors for 12 analog or 12 digital signals; antenna in and RF loop through, providing support to daisy chain up to three RX-12R receivers to one set of antennas; internal audio monitoring system to plug in headphones; auto-switching 12V redundant DC inputs; and more.
