Anaheim, CA (January 24, 2014)—MXL has released two new products at the 2014 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA: the Sound Runner microphone and instrument cables, and the new LSM-3 Handheld Dynamic Microphone.
The new cables take their name from the Sound Runner speaker cables first sold by MXL’s parent company, Marshall Electronics, starting in 1996. The cables are offered in two varieties: SRX microphone cables and SRI instrument cables. Sound Runner Microphone Cable has 95 percent coverage copper braid shield to help cancel RFI and hum. The instrument cable has spiral shield for RFI, EMI, and hum noise rejection.
The new LSM-3 microphone has a cardioid polar pattern to pick up sound in front of it, while eliminating sounds from the sides and back, and is intended for vocalists who like to move on stage. The dynamic capsule is enclosed in an all metal body for durability on tour. With no on-off switch, the LSM-3 cannot be accidentally turned off during a performance or presentation.
