Anaheim, CA (January 25, 2018)—At the NAMM Show, VUE Audiotechnik is introducing two new h-Class models—the hm-108A slant stage monitor, and the h-8N, a narrow dispersion take on VUE’s h-8.
The hm-108A is a compact stage monitoring system that features the same 8-inch transducer and beryllium-infused compression driver as the h-8 and h-8, and is intended for foldback applications like theater, choir, orchestra and so on.
Meanwhile, the h-8N offers narrow 60-degree coverage, and its driver complement, too, is identical to the h-8, conceived around an 8-inch transducer that’s combined with a neodymium compression driver with a Truextent beryllium diaphragm at its core.
Both models of the h-8, as well as the hm-108A, feature onboard VUEDrive electronics designed around a digital signal processor programmed for each unique transducer/cabinet combination. In addition, dual-channel, high-efficiency Class D amplification deliver power while eliminating the need for cooling fans.
The VUEDrive electronics also enable SystemVUE networking technology, allowing users to create a fully accessible, acoustic ecosystem by combining any VUE DSP-enabled model via a wired or wireless Ethernet connection to an iOS enabled device, as well as Windows or Macintosh computers. Once connected, SystemVUE Software provides access to network and device-level control and monitoring functions.
Drivers and electronics for all h-Class models are housed in a birch enclosure with interior bracing, and the new h-8N also incorporates M10 rigging points and an integrated pole-mount for both portable and fixed installation applications.
