Boskovice, Czech Republic (May 17, 2016)—Audified has released MixChecker, a new plug-in that allows users to hear their work through emulations of classic reference monitors or a variety of consumer devices.
MixChecker functions are separated into two specific sections: Simulation accesses acoustic models of several consumer devices and classic reference monitors; users select the device they want to check their mix on by pressing a button clearly labeled with an icon. Cycling through the buttons presents an overview of how the mix should sound across a variety of real-world listening devices, according to the company.
The other section in MixChecker is the Compensation control section, where users select from four more clearly-labeled buttons to define what they are listening to the mix through in real-life—average 5-inch or 8-inch speakers or headphones. The Bypass button turns off all processing, ensuring that the signal passes through MixChecker without being treated.
MixChecker is available to download directly from Audified as a 32- and 64-bit AAX-, AU-, VST2-, and VST3-compatible plug-in for Mac OS X (10.6 – 10.11) and Windows (7 – 10).
