North Hollywood, CA (July 18, 2017)—BAE Audio has unveiled its passive direct injection box, the PDI , which utilizes a brand new transformer design chosen for “pleasingly warm analog richness,” offers the company.
Features of the PDI include a quarter-inch input and low-impedance XLR output one side, with dual audio through outputs on the reverse side, all Neutrik.
Its I/O scheme allows for unique routing configurations; e.g., sending a guitar signal both via the Lo-Z output to a console as well as via the dual Hi-Z through outputs to two separate amplifiers. Also included is a ground lift switch.
The PDI is hand-assembled in California with gold-plated PCB and 100 percent through-hold components, according to BAE. It comes with a one-year warranty.
