Austin, TX (December 5, 2016)—Austin-based powered loudspeaker manufacturer BassBoss has announced the availability of the new SV8 Powered MicroMain, designed for various live as well as studio applications.

The SV8 offers an eight-inch woofer, 117 dB sustained output (in satellite mode) and maximum output of 120 dB as well as features such as its built-in 700 W Powersoft amplifier, and four presets, “eliminating the need for external processing,” according to the company.

The SV8's preset 1 has the SV8 in full-range mode, offering frequency response down to 40 Hz; preset 2 offers slightly more SPL and response down to 60 Hz; preset 3 provides another step up in SPL with the high-pass filter moved to 80 Hz; and preset 4 offers the highest peak SPL with the high-pass filter set at 100 Hz.

Other features include integragted handles, XLR and Speakon I/O, and an all-Baltic birch enclosure, available in black touring polymer coating or UV-stable white.
