Beyerdynamic has added two new variations as part of its MC 900 series of studio microphones. The MC 910 and MC 950 (pictured) share the same sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio as the company’s MC 930 while providing new options in terms of polar patterns. The MC 910 utilizes an omnidirectional pattern, the MC 950 a supercardioid pattern, that go along with the MC 930’s cardioid pattern.

According to the company, miking choirs or orchestras with a matched stereo pair, or instruments such as grand piano, acoustic guitar and percussion, are only a few of the applications in which the MC series microphones can be deployed.
