Westlake Village, CA (August 1, 2017)—Blue has unveiled Raspberry Studio, a mobile recording system based around its Raspberry USB microphone, custom recording software from PreSonus and iZotope mastering software.
Blue’s Raspberry USB microphone works with a PC, Mac and iOS and sports a patent-pending Internal Acoustic Diffuser (IAD) that reportedly focuses on the voice or instrument and minimizes environmental sounds by diffusing noise and reflections. The mic’s integrated stand is intended to minimize contact with surfaces and isolate the microphone from vibrations, and the mic offers onboard professional controls to adjust gain and monitor audio during recording.
Software offerings in the Raspberry Studio bundle include PreSonus Studio One Artist Blue Microphones Edition recording software—a DAW based around a 32-bit audio engine, providing editing and recording functions. Meanwhile, users can master their end result with the included iZotope Ozone Elements, which has professionally designed presets and simple macro controls with intuitive controls and various audio processing tools.
Raspberry Studio is largely intended for use recording music, voice-overs and podcasts, so it includes custom templates for those uses, providing automatic track setup and dialed-in sound processing for vocals and instruments.
Raspberry comes with a USB cable compatible with PC and Mac, along with a Lightning cable for iPad and iPhone connectivity. The MSRP is $219.99.
