New York, NY (May 14, 2015)—Built for Calrec’s Hydra2 proprietary AoIP networks, the new Fieldbox range of small-format I/O units features an aluminum chassis in a 1U, half-rack size. Calrec envisions the Fieldbox range to be applied in outdoors broadcast environments where I/O must be spread over a large area—e.g., golf courses—or any fixed or temporary installation where a small number of analog inputs and/or outputs are required, including small studios, VO booths, control rooms for monitors feeds, etc.

Using two high-capacity network cables, Fieldboxes are fully redundant. Specifically, the Fieldbox (pictured) offers eight analog inputs via XLR with available +48V phantom power and the H2Hub is an accompanying switcher.
