New loudspeaker is designed for both outdoor and indoor use.

Chester, PA (September 19, 2018)—Community Professional Loudspeakers has added to its R Series of EN54-24-certified loudspeakers for large scale, all-weather applications with the introduction of its new R.35-3896-EN model.

Community Professional Loudspeakers Turns 50

The R.35-3896-EN is a compact loudspeaker designed for use in fill and supplementary areas of larger venues and for smaller venues wanting to conform to EN54 standards. Intended for use both indoors and outside, the speaker can be used for background and foreground music and announcement systems in corporate A/V, leisure centers, swimming pools, theaters, night clubs, shopping malls, stadiums, cruise ships, theme parks and factories.

The new model is based around a fully horn-loaded triaxial three-way, full-range loudspeaker system. Making use of Community's MultiSource Waveguide horn design, the output from the dual midrange compression drivers and 1-inch exit HF driver are combined into a single time-coherent source.

The high output, 3-inch voice coil, 8-inch carbon ring cone LF driver features a flange-less frame design that permits a cone area nearly equivalent to a typical 10-inch driver, reportedly resulting in high sensitivity and increased LF extension. A low LF/MR passive crossover point aids midrange pattern control. With a built-in autoformer, the R.35-3896-EN is certified for use in 100V distributed system applications.
