Marina Del Rey, CA (November 1, 2017)—Delta H Design, Inc. (DHDI)—the developers of Quantum Acoustics technology for its ZR Acoustics treatment line—has announced a new series called ZR Live! Recordings. The series is an ongoing set of A/B acoustic treatment comparisons, before and after the incorporation of the company’s products.
In every ZR Live! video, a musical artist performs the exact same piece twice, once with DHDI’s ZR Pop-Up Studio and once without the ZR Pop-Up Studio. All audio and video settings are identical in both A and B recordings, from microphone position and preamp levels to mixes and DAW fader settings. No plug-ins, effects or reverbs are used in the mix or during the recording.
The first of the A/B comparison series features vibraphonist Nick Mancini performing four solo pieces.
ZR Live! features live musicians performing in a ZR Pop Up Studio designed for commercial or residential use. ZR Pop-Up Studios are pre-designed portable recording studios using ZR Micro Screen Technology. Reportedly lightweight, flexible, thin, and simple to set up, these trademarked Quantum Acoustics devices are applicable in studios, live music events, production sound, portable ADR, VO, music festivals and many other environments.
