Digital Audio Denmark Ships SPQ, Updates Software

DAD has expanded its AX32 Monitoring System.

Gentofte, Denmark (July 5, 2018)—Digital Audio Denmark has shipped its new SPQ speaker processing DSP card for the AX32 Monitoring System, and has released corresponding updates to its dedicated monitoring system license, Pro|Mon, and DADman control software.

The SPQ speaker processing card allow users to add up to 1,024 EQ filters across 128 channels at 48 kHz. A maximum of 16 filters may be used on each channel until the 1,024 limit has been reached. For users who work at higher resolutions, the system supports 96 kHz (64 channels), 192 kHz (32 channels) and 384 kHz (16 channels). Filters for all sample rates are available natively on the SPQ card when sample rates are changed.

SPQ also adds control and Bass Management processing for up to 8 sub channels, and both the Bass Management and speaker channels offer different filter types to choose from in order to tailor a speaker system to its environment.

The Version 5.3 update for DADman control software also includes a new Sample Rate Converter on MADI inputs and Dante version 4.0 firmware with support for Dante Domain Manager.

Meanwhile, the Version 2.1 update to Pro|Mon is also compatible with the DAD DX32R, Avid MTRX and NTP technology’s Penta 720. All firmware and software updates are available now, as is the SPQ speaker processing card.
