New York, NY (March 9, 2016)—DPA will be debuting a new, “extremely linear version” of its d:facto Handheld Microphone range at Pro Light + Sound 2016 in early April.
The latest version is said to have an extremely linear frequency response compared to the original d:facto Vocal Microphone, which has a 3 dB soft boost at 12 kHz. Featuring a new capsule with an isolation-optimized supercardioid polar pattern “specifically designed to augment the human vocal range,” the d:facto Linear Vocal Microphone handles SPL up to 160 dB.
Like other DPA d:facto products, the Linear Vocal Microphone is entirely modular and, with DPA’s adapter system, the microphone can be transformed into a handheld wireless microphone for integration with all leading wireless solutions including those from Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Lectrosonics and Line 6, among others.
DPA will also use the Pro Light + Sound opportunity to unveil the GM1600 Gooseneck, a new mount for its d:screet Omnidirectional Miniature Microphones. Available separately or as two different kits with a d:screet microphone, the GM1600 Gooseneck is compatible with DPA’s entire range of instrument mounting clips.
