New York, NY (August 9, 2016)—Made in Denmark, Dynaudio’s new LYD bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor series consists of three full-range offerings featuring Class D amplification and small room frequency settings (free-standing or near-wall tunings): the LYD 5 with five-inch woofer, LYD 7 with seven-inch woofer, and LYD 8 with eight-inch woofer. The range starts at $559 street, each (LYD 5).
Key specifications include 50 W + 50 W Class D biamplified power for the LYD 5 or LYD 7 and 50 W + 80 W Class D biamplified power for the LYD 8; maximum SPLs of 106 dB, 109 dB and 112 dB, respectively; and extended high frequency response (to 22 kHz). For users needing full low frequency response, the LYD range can be paired with Dynaudio’s BM9S II or BM14S II powered subwoofers, purchased separately.
