Skanderborg, Denmark (September 12, 2019)—First introduced at the 2019 NAMM show, Dynaudio’s new Core 47 compact three-way monitor and Core Sub are now shipping.
Core 47 sports a 7-inch woofer, a dedicated 4-inch midrange driver and the new 28 mm Esotar Pro tweeter. Meanwhile, Core Sub is a powered subwoofer with four 9-inch long-throw woofers and 1,000 W of power.
“Core 47 fills the gap between the Core 7 and Core 59 models,” says Dynaudio Pro product manager Rune Jacobsen. “Its footprint is comparable to Core 7, but it’s a three-way design with a dedicated midrange driver for the absolute highest degree of detail when reproducing sound in this critical frequency area – where, for instance, vocals are located.”
Core 47 and Core Sub have digital inputs (AES3) and support up to 24-bit/192 kHz signals, and the internal DSP (digital signal processor) operates at the same level when using the analog inputs. The speakers come with specialized decoupling pads and a wall/ceiling installation bracket has also been created for Core 47. With the appropriate adaptor, it can also double as a desk-stand. Both the Core 47 and Core Sub use Pascal class-D amplifiers.
All Dynaudio monitors are developed, designed, tested and made in Skanderborg, Denmark.
Core 47 will run $2,500 US, while the Core Sub is $4,000 US.
