EAW Unveils UX Series Amplifiers

New amps integrate with EAW lines for installation and production.

Whitinsville, MA (February 9, 2018)—Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) has introduced its new UX Series, providing amplification and processing for EAW loudspeakers in both installation and production uses.

The amplifier series consists of two four-channel, Class D amplifiers—the UXA4406 and UXA4410—as well as the eight-channel UXA4810. Integrated with 48 kHz digital signal processing., the four channel models deliver up to 2,500 watts (5,000 watts bridged), while the UXA4810 delivers 1,250 watts per channel (2,500 watts bridged).

Each amplifier channel can be configured to deliver its maximum power into two, four or eight ohms, nominal loads as well as 25V, 70V and 100V constant Voltage (CV) lines. The new amplifiers can be setup through EAW’s Resolution software, loading the appropriate Greybox settings and applying EAW core technologies such as DynO and Focusing.

Also part of the UX Series is the UX48 processor, a signal processor offering processing for four inputs and eight outputs. It takes advantage of the latest analog to digital conversion and DSP technologies to deliver impeccable audio. The full front panel user interface offers simple and intuitive operation.

The UX Series is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2018.
