Little Ferry, NJ, (December 10, 2019)—Eventide has introduced MangledVerb for iOS as an AUv3 plug-in and standalone app. Combining extensive reverb and distortion, the effect is intended for use creating a variety of moods, ambiences and chaotic soundscapes.
With the introduction of MangledVerb for iOS, iPhone- and iPad-based mobile music-makers can use the Eventide effect wherever they go for mobile music creation. MangledVerb starts with a variable pre-delay which feeds a stereo reverb into a complex distortion effect. The ‘Ribbon’ is a control which lets users program two settings for any combination of the controls and transition between them. A programmable Hotswitch allows users to jump to an alternate setting at the push of a button, aiming to recreate the experience of tweaking real hardware.
Other controls available include Size and Softclip which help create soundscapes, and Wobble, which can be used to create spookiness. The software includes flexible I/O—Mono-In/Mono-Out, Mono-In/Stereo-Out, or Stereo-In/Stereo-Out—and also includes TAP tempo control. A Mix lock control can be used to scroll through the Factory Presets while keeping the wet-dry Mix constant.
MangledVerb for iOS is now available for download as an Audio Units AUv3 plug-in, Inter-App Audio, and Standalone app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store for $14.99 USD.
