Little Ferry, NJ (August 3, 2017)—Eventide now offers UltraTap—a unique multi-tap effects plug-in featuring delays, reverbs, swells, and modulation—as part of its H9 Plug-in Series. Usefully, it is well suited for both recording and live applications.
According to Eventide promotional materials, UltraTap’s lineage begins in 1982 when a 64-tap delay debuted as part of the Factory Program suite within Eventide’s SP 2016, “the world’s first rack-mount programmable audio effects processor.” By the late ‘80s, the algorithm had migrated to the H3000 Ultra-Harmonizer, the DSP4000 Ultra-Harmonizer, and the H8000 Ultra-Harmonizer premium rack processors, respectively. Finally, Eventide included UltraTap into the H9 Harmonizer Effects Processor stompbox.
Key Features of UltraTap for H9 include over 150 presets; realtime effect manipulation via The Ribbon; HotSwitch setting variation; settings; Smear and Slurm modulation/manipulation parameters; onboard LFOs and envelopes; Mix Lock to audition new presets while keeping wet-dry mix intact; and much more.
UltraTap is available now as an AAX/AU/VST plug-in for Mac OS X 10.7+ and Windows 7+ at an introductory price of $49.00 USD (rising to an MSRP of $79.00 USD thereafter) from Eventide dealers and the company website.
