Anaheim, CA (December 27, 2013)—Extron's new MPA 152 Plus mini power amplifier is now available. The MPA 152 Plus delivers 15 watts rms per channel and features a 90 dB signal-to-noise ratio with 0.1 percent THD+N.
The MPA 152 Plus is an Energy Star-qualified amplifier with an Extron-exclusive Class D amplifier design. It also features patented CDRS Class D Ripple Suppression technology that reportedly provides a smooth, clean audio waveform and an improvement in signal fidelity over conventional Class D amplifiers. The Extron design is intended to create less heat, allowing the amplifier to be fanless and operate in environments with little or no ventilation.
"The MPA 152 Plus offers several refinements in performance over the highly successful MPA 152, continuing the progression of improvements to our popular mini power amplifier series," says Casey Hall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Extron. "Rather than rely on the unknown quality of the amplifier and speakers built into displays, the MPA 152 Plus used with Extron speakers provides a significant step-up for classrooms and other spaces."
