Nürtingen, Germany (December 1, 2017)—Fohhn Audio has introduced its new Focus Venue Beam Steering line array.
The Focus Venue line consists of two modules—the FV-100 and FV-200—with the former based around a manifold horn-loaded waveguide design, and the latter sporting a horn-loaded waveguide design and Fohhn’s CDT Cardioid Technology.
Specifically developed for large concert halls, theatres and other live sound venues, the new line array is flown and stacked “straight;” no mechanical curving is involved. Instead it applies beam steering technology, and its beam dispersion characteristics can be controlled in real-time, using Fohhn Audio Soft 5.0 software.
The software can store and recall pre-sets within milliseconds and offers vertical dispersion up to 90 degrees and a sound inclination angle of +/- 40 degrees, adjustable in 0.1 degree increments.
Use of dual beam technology allows the creation of two separate beams per module, and the software also allows the system to have a movable acoustic center and create asymmetric beams if necessary.
