Glensound Unveils AoIP22 Dante/AES67 Interface - ProSoundNetwork.com
The interface can be used to connect analog equipment to a Dante/AES67 network audio system.

Los Angeles, CA (July 17, 2018)—UK-based Glensound has introduced the AoIP22 Dante/ AES67 two-channel bi-directional audio interface.

Glensound, which won a 2018 Pro Sound News Best of Show Award at InfoComm for its BEATRICE R8 8-Channel Dante/AES67 Network Intercom, designed the AoIP22 to connect existing analog equipment to a Dante / AES67 network audio system. The AoIP22 is a PoE (Power over Ethernet) unit, thus requiring a single cable for integration into a variety of environments.

The interface has two balanced analog audio inputs on XLR connectors, a pair of balanced analog audio outputs on XLR connectors and a Neutrik Ethercon RJ45 network connector. The interface uses the standard 24-bit Dante network resolution and recognizes Dante network sample rates of 44.1/ 48 / 88.2 and 96 kS/s. Being AES67 compatible, the AoIP22 supports the AES67 network sample rate of 48 kHz.

Compatible with Audinate’s Dante Controller, which can control all Dante enabled devices on the network, the AoIP22 is automatically identified and audio circuits can be routed to and from the AoIP22 via a mouse click.

The interface is currently shipping, with an MSRP of $390.
