Marlboro, NJ (February 27, 2017)—Blurring the lines between hi-fi and professional audio capabilities, KEF America now offers its KEF LS50 Wireless active speaker system, based on the LS50 passive unveiled five years ago.
Features of the LS50 Wireless include the unique cabinetry, 5.25-inch Uni-Q driver, constrained layer damping bracing, curved baffle and elliptical flexible sound port that comprise the original LS50 plus a 24-bit/192 kHz digital signal path, two dedicated DACs per channel, subwoofer output, and a bi-amped, dual mono design offering 200 W and 30 W per enclosure (for LF and HF, respectively).
Further, the LS50 Wireless provides an array of input options including RCA analog, USB Type B and S/PDIF digital via TOSLink, networkability via Ethernet, and wireless via 2.4 GHz/5 GHz dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec.
A dedicated Android or iOS app is available for the LS50 Wireless, offering control, network setup, equalization, subwoofer adjustment, playback and music streaming features.
The LS50 Wireless is sold as a pair and is available in titanium grey/red, gloss black/blue and gloss white/copper color schemes for $2,199.99, direct from KEF America.
