New York, NY (October 13, 2015)—KRK Systems has unveiled multiple ROKIT powered studio monitors—the ROKIT 10-3 Generation 3, aimed at studio control room, post-production suites and mastering facilities; and the ROKIT 4, intended for portable use by musicians, desktop use and so on.
The ROKIT 10-3 Generation 3 monitor feature new voicing technology, and sports a 10-inch woofer made of lightweight, glass-Aramid composite material, chosen in an effort to preserve transient response and retain clarity while reportedly delivering bass extension down to 25 Hz. The monitor features a 4-inch midrange driver and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter, the latter of which is said to provide high-frequency response up to 30 kHz. Each is driven by an analog, Class A/B amplifier with a total power rating of 148 watts, enabling the monitor to produce up to 110 dB SPL. Balanced XLR, TRS, and unbalanced RCA jacks provide universal connectivity, while high- and low-frequency trims accommodate personal listening tastes or tweak the overall response to match particular room acoustics.
Meanwhile, the ROKIT 4 G3 (pictured) offers a 4-inch woofer of glass-Aramid composite material and a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter reproduces highs up to 35 kHz. Each speaker has its own analog, Class A/B amplifier, and has both high and low-frequency level controls along with balanced XLR, TRS, and unbalanced RCA inputs.
