Sound Forge 12—a multifaceted DAW featuring recording, editing, enhancing/manipulation and high-res audio master creation tools—notably offers features to create most any master for a variety of distribution purposes: digitization and restoration of classic masters from a variety of original sources, CD authoring and burning, podcast creation, etc.

Key features of MAGIX’s latest Sound Forge update include 64-bit-Architecture; an updated recording workflow with more accessible settings via redesigned “window;” Open and Append CD track assembly; non-destructive editing modes (including Slice Edit tweaking and Soft Cut crossfades); Spectral Cleaning frequency-based noise removal; vinyl-optimized recording and restoration settings; the new Visualization window with a bevy of metering options; the iZotope Ozone Elements 7 mastering plug-in as well as DeClicker/DeCrackler, DeClipper, DeEsser, DeHisser, and DeNoiser restoration tools; Elastic audio editor/vocal tuner; and support for wide-ranging video formats for detailed audio editing and repair.
