New York, NY (September 7, 2016)—Martin Audio has unveiled its new BlacklineX passive loudspeaker line, updating its Blackline series, which was first released in 1999.
BlacklineX is intended for portable sound reinforcement and stage monitoring for live bands, DJs and corporate events, as well as installations in nightclubs, bars, commercial spaces and Houses of Worship.
The line sports four two-way systems—from the compact X8 to the large X15—and three subwoofers, as well as a slimline model. Each symmetrical, multi-angle full-range enclosure features a user-rotatable horn for horizontal or vertical orientation, and has a screw-free, foam-backed steel grille.
Mounting options include wall-bracket, eyebolt suspension and pole-mounting. Ergonomic handles can be found on the rear of each full-range enclosure. All BlacklineX Series enclosures are constructed from plywood and are finished with a durable black textured coating, with white and custom RAL color options available to order.
Marketing director, James King said, “This is the first new series developed under the management of Dom Harter and it’s been achieved in record time for Martin Audio—from concept to launch in five months.
Dom Harter, managing director of Martin Audio, said, “It’s important that for Martin Audio to grow, its portfolio needs to offer more complete solutions at commercially sound price points, leading to additional distribution channels, incremental sales and new customers. With BlacklineX, we now have a classic, stylish, professional yet very affordable range that delivers the Martin Audio signature sound people really love. Pound for pound, these are the best sounding speakers around.”
BlacklineX will ship in late October 2016.
