Nashville, TN (July 16, 2019)—As Summer NAMM kicks off later this week in Nashville, MXL Microphones has unveiled three mic bundles that it will introduces at the convention, with two aimed at recordists and a third bundle earmarked for podcasters.
The new MXL 990 Complete Bundle is based around the MXL 990 condenser microphone. Hosued in a vintage-style body with a champagne finish, the mic has a FET preamp and a large diaphragm, aiming to provide clear reproduction of the high end, solid midrange and tight low end. The bundle comes with the new SMP-1 integrated metal pop filter/shockmount and a 20-ft. balanced XLR cable.
Meanwhiule, the MXL 770 Complete Recording Bundle includes a MXL 770 microphone, which sports a bass roll off-switch and -10 dB attenuation pad to eliminate rumbles. The mic uses a FET pre-amp and transformer-less balanced output with the aim of providing dynamic range and low noise. The MXL 770 comes with the new SMP-1 integrated metal pop filter/shockmount, and a 20′ balanced XLR cable.
The MXL APS Bundle is meant for first-time podcasters, and includes the MXL BCD-1 Live Broadcast Dynamic Mic—an end address microphone designed with the intention of providing warm tones and side rejection. The BCD-Stand with articulating hinge arm allows for mic placement and provides a professional look and feel. The MXL Mic Mate Pro is an XLR-to-USB adapter audio interface with 48V phantom power, gain and headphone volume control, and studio-quality preamp.
