BishopSound Delta Line Array Debuts

Boutique PA manufacturer BishopSound has launched a dual 8″ passive line array speaker system, the Delta Line Array.

Yorkshire, UK (November 21, 2019)—Boutique PA manufacturer BishopSound has launched a dual 8-inch passive line array speaker system, the Delta Line Array.

Designed and tuned in the United Kingdom, the BishopSound Delta Line Array BLA208 consists of four dual 8-inch boxes, housed in a purpose-built flight case.

Venue Installation Trends Converge

Each of the four boxes contains a pair of 8″ BishopSound Neo Drivers with 2.5″ voice coils and two HF units with titanium diaphragms. British-made Kevlar speaker cones are used throughout. Each box is said to provide 600 w RMS and operate at 65~20 kHz. Each plywood box only weighs 18 kg.

Aiming the BishopSound Delta Line Array at the middle of the pro audio live sound rental market, founder Andrew Bishop says, “The live music scene is getting increasingly competitive and the needs of our industry have changed. Promoters are driving rental companies into the ground by offering less money for the sound at events….

“Our challenge was to come up with a system that sounded good, was reliable and will be affordable and profitable for hire companies and end-users to own and run. We have opened a new dedicated demo facility in the Midlands so that prospective buyers can pick a time to suit them and have access to a BishopSound consultant/engineer on a one-to-one basis.”

A purpose-built plywood flight case is included with the purchase free of charge. BishopSound, founded in 2016 by industry veteran Andrew Bishop, builds a variety of live sound products that are available in 23 countries.
