Edmonton, Canada (April 21, 2020) – Eleven Engineering has launched its Akiko Pro, a SKAA Pro transmitter for analog audio able to transmit analog audio at quick transmission speeds.
SKAA is a wireless HiFi audio standard developed by Eleven Engineering, and its transmitters reportedly work with iOS & Android mobile devices, Mac & Windows computers, televisions and any product with a line output or a headphone jack.
Akiko Pro is intended for live performances/DJs, gaming and other instances where latency that’s lower than Bluetooth or WiFi audio is required. While the transmitter meets the SKAA standard of 36 ms fixed latency—below the industry standard for the audio-to-video delta—the unit can transmit at 18 ms. In addition, SKAA Pro transmitters are fully compatible/interchangeable with both existing as well as future SKAA speakers in the marketplace.
“One of the principal disadvantages of traditional wireless audio solutions is inherent latency issues which prevent their use with any source that is video-based, such as TV, movies, social media, and communications,” explained Rex Whitehead, Eleven Engineering executive vice president, sales & marketing.

Additionally, SKAA Pro allows DJ duos since two receivers can bond to one transmitter.”
The transmitter works with stereo analog audio sources that have 3.5 mm plugs; works with both line out and headphone out; and can send audio to one or two receivers. The transmitter has an indoor range of 100 feet, and is powered by any USB port. The unit ships with SKAA Pro OS, compatible with all receivers running SKAA OS 2.1 or newer
