New York, NY (September 22, 2020)—Hooke Audio has launched the Hooke Lav, a wearable, dual-channel wireless microphone/recorder, available via KickStarter.

It offers Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility for 24-bit/48 kHz mono and dual channel D/A recording. Additionally, it sports 8 GB of onboard storage for continuous recording. It can also be used solely for standalone recording in Island mode, and provides up to 7 hours of continuous record time, with chargeable battery. The mic does not require an additional receiver; instead, the unit pairs via Bluetooth in both mono and dual-channel situations to any smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled equipment, and delivers the lowest-latency available (.043ms).

Real-World Review: Hooke Audio Verse

Built around a low-profile clip-on design, the mic can be worn and used for podcasting, streaming, E-Learning, fitness instruction, gaming and more. The Hooke Lav is compatible with typical smartphones, tablets and professional camera equipment—iPhone, iPad, Mac, PC, Android, GoPro, DSLR and more.

The new mic marks the second product from the company; Hooke Audio debuted in 2017 with the Verse—a pair of Bluetooth headphones with integrated binaural microphones that Pro Sound News reviewed favorably in its October, 2017 issue.

The Hooke Lav from Hooke Audio is now available for pre-order for a limited time on KickStarter at a discounted price through October 22.
