Knoxville, TN (March 19, 2020)—Waves Audio has shipped its new MultiMod Rack, a multiband modulation rack for its latest distortion plug-ins.

MultiMod Rack has three plug-in slots, each of which can host Waves’ newest distortion and saturation plug-ins, such as the analog-modeled Abbey Road Saturator, the modern waveshaper-based Berzerk, and the MDMX Screamer, Overdrive and Fuzz modules.

MultiMod’s three slots divide a signal into three frequency bands — lows, mids and highs — with adjustable crossover controls, allowing users to take different approaches to their sound—for example, using Waves Berzerk on lows, MDMX on mids and Abbey Road saturation on highs. Users assign the different plug-ins to different frequency bands, and separately control the flavor of distortion in each. Reshuffling the chosen plug-ins between frequency bands will significantly change the sound, and each band also offers controls for level, stereo panning and harmonics, for control of the distortion in each frequency area.

MultiMod’s five modulators allow users to modulate nearly every individual parameter of the Abbey Road Saturator, MDMX and Berzerk plug-ins. LFO, sequencer and amplitude modulation options are also present, as is a post-processing EQ section, which can be modulated.
