Cleveland, OH (June 27, 2016)—The Telos Alliance has announced that all Omnia.11 audio processors are now shipping standard with the company’s new G-Force processing engine.
Additionally, any Omnia.11 purchased in 2016 is eligible for a free G-Force license, which will be available within 60 days as a downloadable field upgrade. This upgrade will give current Omnia.11 customers a totally new Omnia processing engine, without the added expense of an entirely new box. G-Force was previewed at this year’s NAB in April.
Designed by Telos Alliance CEO/Omnia founder Frank Foti and senior algorithm developer Cornelius Gould, G-Force is said by the company to represent a significant update to Omnia.11’s dynamics, and has also been given an all-new graphic user interface.
G-Force offers program adaptive attack, release and ratio values; makeup threshold; and AGC synchronization with program material. Multiband limiters now self-adapt to the multiband AGC activity and also feature program-controlled attack and release, actively reducing limiter-induced inter-mod distortion. Limiters are said to be more responsive and active. Finally, a new bass-management system allows broadcasters to adjust the Omnia.11’s low end via a single knob.
