Propellerhead characterized Polar as “an old school harmonizer and pitch-shifter effect with a host of modern tricks up its sleeves.” While providing harmonizing, stereo widening and pitch shifting, the extension will allow users to employ buffer looping and audio freezing.

Providing dual pitch-shifters with “classic,” “smooth” and “looping” algorithms, Polar is aimed at singers, producers, guitarists and remixers, and also includes built-in LFOs, auto-panning, envelope and buffer lock.

Rack Extensions are a new technology that opens up the Reason rack, enabling third-party developers to create instruments and effects for Reason. Announced at Frankfurt Musikmesse in March 2012, Rack Extensions will be included in the next versions of Reason and Reason Essentials to be released late Q2, 2012.
