Orlando, FL (June 14, 2013)—The RapcoHorizon Company has announced version 2.0 of its DesignVision panel-design software. Intended for integrators, dealers and contractors, DV2 aids in the creation of custom installation diagrams for A/V installation projects.
DV2 is based around a simple interface, allowing users to create custom rack panels, wall plates and floor pocket inserts. The new version interfaces with Microsoft’s Windows Azure Cloud Platform, allowing users to call up the DV2 report from wherever they are located, such as job sites.
DV2 also features an updated drawing space. With the new software, users now have one dedicated workspace from which to produce all of the materials necessary, from design to final execution. Users can place desired connectors directly on the selected panels. Calling on the system’s set of design tools, the user can also create a template for engraving. Once the drawing is complete, the dealer has access to a price quote for the customer to view and approve. The dealer can then confirm the design and bill of materials with a RapcoHorizon sales representative to ensure an expedited distribution of the custom panel to the client.
DesignVision software is available for free download at RapcoHorizon’s website.
