Cologne, Germany (July 31, 2017)—RTW and Lawo have reinforced their partnership with the implementation of RTW’s TM9 TouchMonitor integrated into the surface of Lawo’s fully IP-based mc2 96 Grand Production Console.
“We’re excited about our collaboration with Lawo and having our TM9 as a trustworthy source within its new IP-based console,” says Andreas Tweitmann, CEO, RTW. “We are proud and very happy about our long-term and productive relationship with Lawo. Besides that, we are very much looking forward to future projects and are thrilled to be on par with a company of its caliber in the industry.”
The TM9 is equipped with a nine-inch touchscreen and a GUI that can be controlled by using a finger or a mouse. Instruments can be scaled, randomly positioned and combined in various configurations for optimized use of available screen space. Setup changes can be made because of the monitor’s context-sensitive, on-screen help feature that supports the user. The TouchMonitor has been customized according to Lawo’s requirements for integration in this new flagship console that supports all relevant standards, such as SMPTE 2110, AES67, RAVENNA and Dante.
“We simply trust in RTW when it comes to audio metering solutions,” adds Christian Struck, Lawo’s senior product manager audio production. “The brand stands for reliability and quality. Our cooperation started a couple of years ago and since then we have equipped several of our consoles with RTW’s TouchMonitors.”
