Samson Debuts Expedition XP300 Portable PA

The 300-watt portable PA is intended to cover audiences up to 100 people.

Las Vegas, NV (January 9, 2018)—At CES, Samson has introduced its Expedition XP300 300-Watt Portable PA. Expected to ship in March, the all-in-one sound system is intended to cover audiences of up to 100 people.

The XP300 sports a 6-channel powered mixer that delivers 300 watts of power to two 6-inch speakers. The mixer and speakers lock together, allowing the system to be transported in a single unit weighing just under 24 pounds.

The mixer offers Bluetooth connectivity for use with laptops, smartphones and tablets, and also features 16 presets of 24-bit digital effects with Send level control; a Sub output for integrating active subwoofers, 2-band (Bass and Treble) EQ on all input channels, and phantom power for condenser microphones.

The dual 2-way speakers, which come with two 10-foot cables, have 6-inch woofers and 1-inch HF drivers, are driven by a Class D amplifier producing 2 x 150 watts of stereo power, and have a tilt-back design so that they can be also be used as floor monitors,
