The microphone was designed for live stage productions, broadcast, and houses of worship. "Having that same great Sanken sound quality in a head worn mic is an entirely new concept for live performance," remarked Jim Pace, President of Sanken's distributor plus24. "The omni pickup makes for very natural vocal sound and the sensitivity minimizes feedback."

Reportedly optimized for the human voice, the mic features a stable, adjustable dual-earpiece frame, a micboom that is interchangeable for the wearer’s right or left side, a vertical “Diaphragm Design,” choice of beige or cocoa, and more.

Sanken utilizes an exclusive vertical placement of the diaphragm for what is claims is “a much greater effective area within an extremely small casing.” The COS-11D HWM features a front mesh screen which is water resistant, protecting the microphone from perspiration and cosmetics.

The microphone, along with the rest of the Sanken line, will be at AES in New York City, October 21-23, Booth # 544.
