Las Vegas, NV (June 19, 2014)—Shure has introduced its QLX-D Digital Wireless System, which provides 24-bit digital audio, networked control and compatibility with the company’s intelligent rechargeable battery technology.
QLX-D Digital Wireless features automatic channel scan and IR sync, and is intended for live sound events and installations at corporate and government facilities, academic institutions, houses of worship, hotels, music venues, and other venues.
The system sports all-metal construction and standard AES-256 encryption. The system’s intelligent lithium-ion rechargeable power options can provide up to 10 hours of continuous use and report remaining runtime in hours and minutes. QLX-D transmitters can also run on standard AA batteries for up to nine hours.
QLX-D works with various networking tools, including Shure Wireless Workbench 6 control software, third-party control systems (AMX/Crestron), and iOS devices for control and monitoring with the newly-introduced ShurePlus Channels mobile app.
The QLX-D line will begin shipping in August 2014 in numerous bodypack and handheld configurations.
