Shure Wireless Mics Get Customized

At the recent NAMM Show, Shure launched Shure Design Studio, an online platform for customizing BLX and GLX-D wireless mics with six color choices, a variety of patterns and designs, or used-provided images and text.

Anaheim, CA (January 28, 2015)—At the recent NAMM Show, Shure launched Shure Design Studio, an online platform for customizing BLX and GLX-D wireless mics with six color choices, a variety of patterns and designs, or used-provided images and text.

The microphone handles are customized using a dye transfer technology, wrapping a design around the entire mic; created at Shure, the handle is shipped to the end-user, who can install it by unscrewing the standard black cover and replacing that with the new cover.

Select models are available in six solid color options—white, silver, gold, pink, blue, and red—while custom designs can be created by selecting from a library of patterns and designs on the website, or by uploading one’s own text or graphics.

Microphone customization is currently available for all seven of the BLX and GLX-D handhelds listed below. The six solid color options are available for all except the GLXD2/BETA87A and GLXD2/SM86.
