Sweetwater Updates Creation Stations

Sweetwater’s line of Creation Station music and audio computers is getting an upgrade with the release of newly redesigned editions for 2016. Assembled on-site at Sweetwater, the latest Creation Station PCs include two 4U and one 2U rack-mountable models, and one mini desktop model.

Fort Wayne, IN (July 22, 2016)—Sweetwater’s line of Creation Station music and audio computers is getting an upgrade with the release of newly redesigned editions for 2016. Assembled on-site at Sweetwater, the latest Creation Station PCs include two 4U and one 2U rack-mountable models, and one mini desktop model.

Housed in a 4U rack-mountable chassis, the flagship CS450 is geared toward the professional producer or musician, and offers 32 GB of RAM, a 3.4 GHz 4-core/8-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i7 processor, a 500 GB solid-state system drive, a 2 TB audio drive, and a 2 TB sample-library drive. The CS450 supports up to three displays, and includes a multi-format card reader and a DVD-RW drive.

The CS400 model uses a 3.3 GHz, 4-core/4-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i5 processor and comes with 16 GB of RAM, a 240 GB solid-state system drive, and a 2 TB audio/library drive. It also supports up to three monitors, and includes a DVD-RW drive and a multi-format card reader, and is housed in a 4U rackmount enclosure.

The new Creation Station line also includes the CS250, housed in a compact 2U rackmount case sized to fit any mobile rack. The CS250 features 8 GB of RAM and a 2.7 GHz, 4-core/4-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i5 processor. A 240G B solid-state system drive is included, along with a second 1 TB audio/library drive and a DVD-RW drive. Three displays are supported.

New to the Creation Station family is the mini desktop-format CS100. Housed in a tiny enclosure less than two inches tall and 4.53" wide x 4.37" deep, the CS100 features a 1.9 GHz, 2-core/4-thread, 6th-Gen Intel i5 processor and 8 GB of RAM along with a 500 GB hard drive and SD card slot. Two displays are supported, and the CS100 offers Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and SATA connectivity.

Each of the next-generation Creation Station computers uses the Windows 10 64-bit operating system and comes with a USB keyboard and mouse. In addition, any Creation Station may be ordered as a turnkey system with all software, audio interfaces, and other peripherals pre-installed and tested at Sweetwater.
