New York, NY (September 1, 2016)—Yamaha has announced its TF-RACK, a compact rack-mount version of its TF Series of digital mixing consoles, offering “all of the features found in TF Series desktop models released in 2015” according to the company.
Intended for smaller-scale or portable mixing applications—“particularly when a proper mix position may not be available”—TF RACK is intended for use in houses-of-worship, multifunctional live venues (music venue/bars, for example) and compact live sound reinforcement rigs. It is scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Key features of TF RACK include 16+1 stereo inputs and 16 outputs; 1-knob COMP and 1-knob EQ; GainFinder input setup; QuickPro Presets, which are optimized microphone, music and output presets from manufacturers, including Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, Shure and Ultimate Ears; rear panel I/O; optional NY64-D Dante I/O card and Tio1608-D I/O rack; and more.
TF RACK is enclosed in a 3U rack space and carries the same core engine, Steinberg’s Nuendo Live recording software as well as apps for mixing and expansion capabilities—as other TF Series mixer models. TF RACK will ship with firmware version 3.0, adding such perks as touchscreen-based full fader views and administrator password setup.
