Audeze has launched the new LCD-1 open-back headphones.
The new headphones feature Audeze’s planar magnetic technology within an open-circumaural, foldable and light-weight design. Its 90mm Planar Magnetic drivers deliver frequency extension from 10Hz to 50kHz, making it ideal for critical listening and professional applications. Weighing only 250 grams and featuring a plush memory foam headband and ear pads, the LCD-1 is engineered for fatigue-free listening sessions.
The open-back over-ear design produces an expanded soundstage, while the patented Fluxor™ magnets and Uniforce™ voice coil work together to articulate fine-tuned, distortion-free audio.
Each LCD-1 driver is handcrafted in Audeze’s Southern California facility, and the headphones are fully assembled in its Orange County factory with parts made in the USA and other countries.
The specially designed, 3.5mm cable has reversible connectors, so the LCD-1 is designed to always deliver the correct left and right channel information.
Manny Marroquin, a Grammy Award-Winning mastering engineer commented on the new headphones: “The LCD-1 is comfortable, light-weight, and easy to carry around with you. Easily the best portable reference headphones, especially well suited to up and coming producers looking for serious professional over-ear monitors.”
The LCD-1 will start shipping in the last week of October.
