Marc Canham has installed a pair of SP Acoustics SP25M monitors and SP2250 amplification in his Oxfordshire studio.
“Working on the SP25M monitors is a joy,” says Canham (pictured), a composer known for film scores like The Disappearance of Alice Creed and game soundtracks for inFAMOUS Second Son and Far Cry 2. “The detailing and openness is phenomenal – I can sit in my studio for 18 hours solid when I’m in crunch mode and they are still a pleasure to work with and deliver sound I can trust 100 per cent.”
The SP25M is the smallest monitor SP Acoustics has produced to date and continues the infinite-baffle design philosophy the company has adopted since inception. The SP25M is a three0way passive system using the same high-quality components found in larger SP1M monitors.
SP2250 Amplifiers use Class D output stages driven from a traditional linear power supply producing dynamic performance with a near silent noise floor, making them ideal for studio applications.
