Delec turns 25

It has been a banner year for Delec, who not only celebrate its 25th anniversary, but launched its Network Amplifier Module and the oratis compact in 2013.

This year marked the 25th anniversary of the founding of Delec Audio- und Videotechnik Gmbh.
Back in 1988, company founder Donald Dilocker (pictured below) recognised a demand for digital announcement and intercom systems. In 2002, his company merged with the Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup and since then, the company has nurtured a presence across the globe.

Customers include the BBC, the OB Truck fleet of tpc and the Bolshoi theatre in Moscow. They have also provided the city of Sydney, Australia with numerous installations in railway stations.
This landmark year for the company has been spent focusing on designing and developing new products. At this year’s Prolight + Sound expo in Frankfurt, Delec introduced the Network Amplifier Module (NAM), a compact Dante decoder with built-in power amplifiers that allows for monitoring signals on Dante networks. Delec’s latest creation is the oratis compact, an intercom unit with small footprint to offer maximum performance with minimal configuration efforts. The oratis compact was introduced at IBC in Amsterdam, the AES Convention in New York and the NATExpo in Moscow in November. The compact also won sister publication TVBEurope’s ‘Best of IBC 2013’ award in the audio category.
